What it does

Recordr is an always-armed input recorder. Hit record, grab the moment, drag the take to your timeline. Reference audio through your loopback path, scratch VO through your mic, desk Foley through your interface. No session to open, no track to arm, no export step.

Recording

Pick an input at the top. Recordr asks for microphone permission once and then lists everything, including loopback devices like BlackHole and the Pro Tools Audio Bridge.

● capture browser tab grabs audio playing on the web with no drivers and no mic permission. Hit record, pick a Chrome Tab in the share dialog, and tick Also share tab audio. The tab keeps playing audibly while Recordr captures it clean. Chrome and Edge only; on macOS this works for tabs, not the whole screen.

The round button or R starts and stops. While armed you get a live waveform, a real meter, and the clock.

Recordr never monitors. Live input is never passed to an output, so recording from a loopback path can never close the loop and howl. Confidence comes from the meter and the wave. Playback is locked out while armed.

Input processing (echo cancel, noise suppression, auto gain) is disabled. What the device sends is what gets recorded.

Takes

Stop commits the take: Take_03_2026-08-12.wav, 48k / 24-bit.

Choose folder in the footer and every take writes itself there the moment you hit stop. No folder chosen: takes download instead.

The take lane stacks newest on top. Click a row to load it into the big waveform. Save or drag any row out whole.

Selecting and pulling

Drag on the big waveform to select, space to audition, L to loop, wheel zoom, shift+wheel pan.

Selections render as sibling files: Take_03_sel_01.wav. The original take is never modified.

Recordr captures; the suite edits. No fades, no gain, no processing. Selection drag-out is the ceiling on purpose.

Chrome required for the folder destination and drag-out.

Your browser asks for microphone permission the first time. Use Recordr from audiopronetwork.com: browsers block the microphone on pages opened as a file from your computer.

R starts and stops recording whenever this tab has focus.

Nothing uploads anywhere. Takes exist only on your machine.

Only record what you have the right to use. Audio captured from the web usually belongs to someone else.

Credits and terms

Recordr runs inside your browser. The only thing it ever sends is your email address, once, when you sign up for the newsletter. Your media and notes never leave your machine.
