App Privacy
Effective October 21, 2026
This App Privacy notice explains how the software made by Audio Pro Network Inc., a New York corporation ("we", "us"), handles information. It covers our free web apps, APN Console and the apps installed through it (together, the "Apps"). It adds to our Privacy Policy, which covers our websites. Where the two differ about the Apps, this notice applies.
The short version: our Apps process your audio, video and files on your own computer. We do not receive, store or listen to your work.
Your work stays with you
Audio, video, sessions, markers, text and any other files you open in the Apps are processed on your own device. The Apps do not upload your files or your work to us or to anyone else. Files leave your device only when you choose to save, export or send them yourself.
Because we never receive your files, we cannot see them, recover them or delete them. Keep your own backups of anything important.
Your microphone
Apps that record, such as Loopr, Recordr and VoiceTakr, ask for microphone access only when you start recording. Your browser or your computer shows the request, and you can say no or withdraw access at any time in its settings. Recordings are made and kept on your device until you save or send them.
You are responsible for getting the consent the law requires from anyone you record.
Free web apps
Our free web apps run in your browser. Loading one from audiopronetwork.com is a visit to our website, so the website practices in our Privacy Policy apply to that visit, including standard server logs.
Newsletter sign-up. Some free web apps unlock with an Audio Pro Network newsletter sign-up. When you sign up, the name and email address you enter go to our newsletter service so we can send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email. Signing up does not give us access to anything you do inside the apps.
Browser storage. The web apps save small settings in your browser, such as that you have accepted our terms, that you have signed up, and your app preferences. These stay in your browser and are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
APN Console and suite apps
APN Console is the only one of our desktop apps that connects to the internet. It does so to:
- check and activate your license or trial with our payment and licensing provider, Gumroad, using the license key or purchase details you enter;
- download and update the apps you are licensed to use from our file storage;
- confirm that a license has not been revoked.
To keep a license to its permitted number of computers, APN Console creates an identifier for your computer and stores a license token in your computer's Keychain. That identifier is used only for licensing. The suite apps themselves do not access the internet.
When you buy through Gumroad, Gumroad processes your payment and contact details under its own privacy policy. We receive the purchase information Gumroad provides to sellers, such as your name, email address and what you bought, and use it to deliver, support and license the software.
The Apps contain no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Sharing, children and your rights
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, such as your newsletter sign-up or purchase records. Contact us and we will respond as the law requires.
Children. Our Apps are made for audio professionals and are not intended for children.
Changes. If we change how the Apps handle information, we will update this notice and its effective date before the change takes effect.
