For actors

Your editor sent you a clip and this link. Loopr walks you through re-recording your line the way a real ADR stage would, with nothing to learn.

Drop the clips in - one or the whole batch. They line up in the cue rack below the stage. Click a cue to load it, press Start session, and allow microphone access when asked.

Pass 1: the scene plays. Just watch and listen.

Pass 2: you hear three beeps. Speak your line on the silent fourth beat, matching the picture. The original audio is muted so only your voice is captured.

Pass 3: the scene plays again with your new take in sync. Loopr also lines your words up with the original performance automatically, so a great read that landed a hair off still sits right. Then choose Keep, Replay take to hear it again, Try again, or Watch original to compare.

If your clip has a timecode number burned into the picture, type it into the box under that cue before you start. That number rides inside the file so the editor's system drops your take at the exact right spot.

Keep downloads the take automatically, correctly named for your editor. Finished cues get a check in the rack, and the counter shows how many are left. You can keep multiple takes; they number themselves.

Save video plays the scene once more with your take and saves it as a video file, ready to send to your director.

Tips for a usable take

Use headphones if you can. Quiet room, phone off, no fans.

Stay about a hand's length from the mic and match the energy of the original performance, not just the words.

Run Calibrate sync once before your first take: keep quiet, it plays a tick and measures your computer's delay so playback and downloads line up. One loud playback tick is normal.

For editors

Prepare clips with a timecode burn-in and set the frame rate selector to match (23.976 through 30, drop-frame supported). The take exports as a Broadcast Wave with the typed TC written to the bext TimeReference, so "spot to original timestamp" lands it on its sync point. The TC also appears in the filename. If the actor skips the box, you get a standard WAV head-aligned to the clip top.

Send the actor short clips whose filenames are the cue names; takes come back as CueName_ADR_take01_TC01020312_2026-08-12_164233.wav, 48k / 24-bit mono, dated and time-stamped so nothing ever collides.

Input processing (echo cancellation, noise suppression, auto gain) is disabled; you get the raw mic.

Sync has three modes. Elastic (default) analyzes the take against the clip's guide dialogue and time-aligns it moment by moment, so individual syllables land where the original performance put them - it works when the actor is reasonably close and falls back automatically when it can't get a confident lock. Nudge shifts the whole take by a single best-fit offset without stretching. Off delivers the take raw. The readout reports what was done, including maximum drift corrected.

Chrome recommended. Nothing uploads anywhere; the take exists only on the actor's machine until they send it to you.

Credits and terms

Loopr is self-contained: everything it needs is inside this page, and it makes no network requests. Your media and notes never leave your machine.
