Audio Pro Network software includes open source components. Each app lists its components, licenses and full license texts at the bottom of its About window, or for our web apps at the bottom of the Help panel.
FFmpeg source code
This software uses code of FFmpeg licensed under the LGPLv2.1 and its source can be downloaded here.
Component
Name
FFmpeg (ffmpeg and ffprobe command line programs)
Version
8.1.3
License
GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or (at your option) any later version
FramePlayr runs FFmpeg as a separate, unmodified program to read video file information and to convert ProRes and DNx files to H.264 for playback. FFmpeg is not linked into FramePlayr.
Source code
The complete, unmodified source code for the exact FFmpeg version included with FramePlayr, with its official signature:
FFmpeg was compiled for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) as an LGPL-only build: no GPL or non-free components, and no libx264. Video encoding uses Apple VideoToolbox and audio encoding uses Apple AudioToolbox. The complete configure lines for both architectures are in BUILD-CONFIG.txt. Key options:
You may obtain, study, modify, and redistribute FFmpeg under the terms of the LGPL.
FFmpeg is included in FramePlayr as separate executable files. You may replace them with your own compatible build of FFmpeg.
The full text of the LGPL is included inside the FramePlayr application and is also available at gnu.org.
Audio Pro Network does not own FFmpeg. FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, originator of the FFmpeg project. FFmpeg does not endorse FramePlayr.
Written offer
For at least three years after we last distribute a version of our software that includes FFmpeg, we will provide the complete corresponding FFmpeg source code to anyone who asks, free of charge apart from any reasonable cost of physically delivering it.
This software uses code of SoundTouch JS licensed under the LGPLv2.1, modified by Audio Pro Network. The original source, our modified file and the list of changes can be downloaded below.
Component
Name
SoundTouch JS (JavaScript audio time-stretch and pitch library)
Version
0.3.0
License
GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or (at your option) any later version
Swoopr loads SoundTouch JS as a separate file to stretch audio in time. It is not compiled into Swoopr's own code. We changed only the end of the file, so it loads as a plain script with no network.
Source code
The complete original source of SoundTouch JS 0.3.0 (tag v0.3.0), our modified file exactly as it ships in Swoopr, and the list of every change:
shasum -a 256 SoundTouchJS-0.3.0.tar.gz soundtouch-0.3.0-modified.js
What we changed
Lines 1 to 792 are unchanged. At the end of the file we removed the ES module export line and the source map comment, and added one line that exposes the classes as a single global object, window.SoundTouchJS, so the library loads as a plain script inside the app. Full details in SOUNDTOUCH-CHANGES.txt.
Your rights
You may obtain, study, modify, and redistribute SoundTouch JS under the terms of the LGPL.
SoundTouch JS is included in Swoopr as a separate file, lib/soundtouch.js inside the app. You may replace it with your own compatible version. Changing a file inside the app changes its code signature, so macOS may ask you to confirm the app before it opens.
The full text of the LGPL is included inside the Swoopr application and is also available at gnu.org.
Audio Pro Network does not own SoundTouch JS. Its authors do not endorse Swoopr.
Written offer
For at least three years after we last distribute a version of our software that includes SoundTouch JS, we will provide the complete corresponding source code to anyone who asks, free of charge apart from any reasonable cost of physically delivering it.
